TUNER ICON

Waveguide Components:
Automatic Tuner

The three-stub waveguide tuner  the basic tool for impedance matching of high-power industrial microwave applications. The tuner consists of three capacitive, often noncontacting stubs spaced along the centerline by a quarter of guide wavelength. The stubs are used for matching, each pair covering about half of the complete matchable area in the Smith chart.

Automatic tuners enable impedance matching automatically against load impedance fluctuation, and keep minimum reflected power.
