MUEGGE - Bio- and Environmental Technologies

Microwave techniques are applicable for  interaction of high frequency electromagnetic fields with materials in various environmental and biological applications, such as chemical technologies, treatment of contaminated soil, sludge treatment, wastewater treatment, crude oil processing, pyrolytical processes and biological (plasma-)technologies.

Microwave processing offers numerous advantages compared to conventional methods. Most important is the aspect of improving the efficiency of Bio and Environmental Technologies i.e. by microwave enhanced catalytic processes in combination with saving energy and reducing process time by direct absorption.
